Endermologie or endermology involves the use of an externally applied vacuum with 2 rotating rollers in the handpiece through which the vacuum is applied to the skin. The mechanism is much the same as a vacuum cleaner used to clean rugs. The massaging and vacuum action have been used to rupture fat cells instead of liposuction for those with minimal to moderate excess fat to start with and to treat cellulite. More importantly endermologie can be used to soften and break up scar tissue under the skin surface that detracts from the end result of cosmetic plastic surgery.

Scar tissue forming under the skin after a facelift can detract from an otherwise good result by causing skin dimpling or bunching especially with certain facial expressions. Scar tissue around a breast implant can create an unnatural breast surface contour, breast capsule contracture, or pull the implant to a higher position on the chest wall than is desired. In the past these complications were mostly treated by repeat or redo surgery which itself stimulates the creation of more scar tissue. Within 5 to 10 endermologie treatments dramatic improvements can be seen eliminating the need for further surgery, recuperative time or time off work at a much lower cost to you. We are one of the few offices in the United States with the requisite experience offering this service.

Endermology can enhance your appearance and your self confidence. Realistic expectations are important to be happy with any surgery. As each patient is an individual, different results can be expected in each patient.
